Laser Photon :-
The recent add on to this armamentarium is Laser Photon which is the
pinnacle of Cataract surgery today. This instrument uses Laser energy
to vapourise and suck out the cataract through a small perforation
into the eye. Laser entails less trauma and better and quicker rehabilitation
ofthe patient.

A New Technique for removing Cataracts through a 0.9 mm Incision
Foldable I.O.L :-
Conventional Cataract Surgery requires the eye to be opened upto about
half its size (10-12 mm) to remove the cataract, which necessitates
the surgeon to close this big wound with sutures. To reduce the incision
size,Foldable lntra Ocular Lens Technology has been introduced to
facilitate bloodless, small size incision with no suture cataract
surgery.
VIVA :-
The hospital has acquired Video Infrared Vision Analyser (VIVA) for
children, illiterates and mentally retarded patients which examines
without even touching them. The Binocular infrared Video Vision Analyser
(VIVA) is a non-invasive computerized techique for the analysis of
visual function and detection of amblyogenic risk factors particularly
in the paediatric age group including the mentally retarded and handicapped.
Ophthalmologic examination of children is usually very difficult.
But VIVA has made it easier since it requires minimum co-operation
