A constituent college of the University of Delhi,
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is a co-educational institution
established in the year 1951 by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management
Committee. It draws inspiration from the life of the 9th Guru of
the Sikhs, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, who laid down his life in Delhi
to uphold the freedom of belief and conscience.
Apart from providing higher education in the classical field of
Arts, Commerce, Social, Physical, and Biological Sciences, the college
also strives to be a centre for the promotion of Punjabi language
and culture.

Library :-
The college maintains a well-stocked library which works on Open Access
System. It contains, at present, over one lakh books. The college
also subscribes to 130 journals and magazines (Indian as well as foreign)
on a variety of subjects.
Sports :-
The college has a spacious playground for hockey, cricket, football,
basketball, volleyball etc. Admissions on sports basis is done, subject
to the college guidelines. |
